Our new 2014 Kindle version of A Week at the Beach - The Emerald Isle Travel Guide is now available for $3.99 and Amazon has the new full color paperback for under $15 and it is Prime eligible.

There is also a 2014 black and white paperback version without pictures currently
available from Amazon for $8.96 and it is also prime eligible.

All purchasers of the 2013 Kindle version have received an update to the first 2014 Kindle version.

It is worth noting that I have just upgraded 95 of the 105 images in new Kindle version to images in the 120K range instead of the old format of images which were around 20K.

What that means is that the images, especially the maps, are significantly better when seen on a tablet. The handful of recipe pictures remain at the old size.

You can always get the latest version of the travel guide by deleting the version on your device and downloading it again from the cloud.

You will not find better advice for planning a great vacation on one of North Carolina’s favorite family beaches. Everything from maps to recipes is all there. At only $3.99, the Kindle version is less expensive than most birthday cards. You will find everything from where to eat and what to do. You will spend more time letting our waves and beaches renew your spirit instead figuring out the details of your vacation. I have also included a new beach map this year. Over 40 images are brand new for this year’s edition.

This is a new kind of travel guide so if you feel so inclined, you can use instructions in our book to become wired into a community of locals who love to provide information about the area. You can just read the information unless you want to do more like ask questions, but you will have access to local advice if you need it and plenty of pictures every week without any effort on your part.

Another of our books was just finished this winter. It is
100 Pictures, 1000 Words, A Crystal Coast Year. It is a $2.99 electronic device only book which contains 100 my favorite photos out of the 40,000 taken last year. The photos are optimized for tablet viewing.

If you like our beach book, you might also like
A Taste for the Wild, Canada’s Maritimes. It is about our life in the Maritimes in the seventies and a fall 2012 visit back to see some wonderful friends we made while living there. If you have never been to the Maritimes, our book is a great introduction.

If you would like to find out what it is really like to work at Apple, try
The Pomme Company. It is the story of David’s nearly twenty years working at Apple. Some of his stories of Apple’s corporate culture are amazing but they are true.

The truth of David’s book and his many articles about Apple have never challenged by Apple. It is true that some employees who worked for David were afraid to be in a picture in The Pomme Company. Read that strange story at “
Do Apple Employees Need A Witness Protection Program?”

You can read
an excerpt from The Pomme Company on the Huffington Post.

Our books even can be read using an iPad. Rumors of iPads overheating while reading the Pomme Company are pure fabrication.
